🇫🇷 France — Santé publique France publishes its investigations and the contact management doctrine. The statement and the technical document co-signed with ANRS-MIE and the national Coreb mission sharpen the record: the patient, arriving from Argentina, developed symptoms on the night of 20-21 July and presented on 23 July at Limoges University Hospital without being admitted; he stayed in France from 19 July to 2 August. Positive serology and PCR, confirmed by the National Reference Centre on 6 August. Paucisymptomatic form, "extremely low" viral load, symptom-free since 28 July. The transmission-risk period runs from 18 to 28 July, its lower bound set 48 hours before symptom onset as a precaution. At-risk contacts isolate for six weeks with weekly regional health agency follow-up; low-risk contacts self-monitor for 42 days. Santé publique France restates that the patient has no link to the MV Hondius outbreak and considers the risk of person-to-person transmission very limited, the Hondius experience having produced no secondary case among low-risk contacts.
