🇪🇸 Spain — two close contacts isolated in Galicia with the patient, all asymptomatic. The regional health authority reports that the imported case, who arrived in Galicia on 3 August, is isolated at home with two close contacts from his household; all three are asymptomatic. The two contacts are observing a 42-day quarantine and will undergo PCR testing, while the case remains isolated until his epidemiological discharge, decided on the basis of negative PCR results. The authority has ruled out further contacts in Galicia and is urging calm: its director-general for public health, Carmen Durán, stressed that hantavirus "is not Covid", transmissibility being neither as easy nor as high as Covid-19 and requiring very close contact. The municipality has not been disclosed.
